As per experts, the rise can also be attributed to simultaneous expansion in all sectors ranging from basic agrarian and advanced industrial sectors to the consumer base in household sector. The requirement for trained basic trades workers is dispersed over all the regions and territories – though not necessarily evenly.

These developments indicate at a very important aspect; the people – working in the basic trades – who had become wary of applying for immigrating to Australia as Skilled Tradesmen and Women can now see their dreams of shifting to this marvelous location and see their dreams fly high.

The people – working in the basic trades and interested in moving to Australia through Skilled Immigration as Tradesmen and Women – have a whole lot of visa classifications at their disposal, like: the ones not intending to obtain a sponsorship endorsement for migrating can apply through the federal scheme; and the ones intending to shift Down Under through a state or employer nomination can do so by placing their requests through state or employer nomination schemes. All the schemes are available in permanent and temporary formats.

To cater to the Increasing Demand For Skilled Tradesmen and Women in Australia, Aussie government has laid following routes at the disposal of the applicants:

Permanent
  • Sub-class 189 – skilled independent: this class has been defined to facilitate applicants who do not have an endorsement from a state or an employer;
  • Sub-class 190 – skilled nominated class: this class has been defined to allow the states to nominate qualified applicants for the permanent residence;
Temporary
  • Sub-class 489 and 457 – the territories, the states and employers use this pathway to sponsor people for temporary residence.
